Last week, Chatham Middle School students had a unique opportunity to engage with the world of construction and transportation, thanks to a special visit from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
VDOT showcased its heavy equipment and state-of-the-art simulator, providing students with hands-on experience of operating heavy machinery. This interactive simulation allowed the young learners to get a firsthand glimpse into the complex and fascinating field of construction.
The event offered students an exciting chance to explore the intricacies of machinery operation and gain a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities within the transportation sector. It was a memorable experience that combined education with real-world applications, sparking interest and enthusiasm among the students.
